Belgian born Ludwig Hoogstoel learned to sail on an
ETAP 22 some 20 years ago on the frigid waters of the North
Sea. When the small ETAP got out in the typical English
Channel chop, and the big powerboats turned back in, the
ETAP kept going and Ludwig was hooked. 20 years later,
after a fruitful career in the finance industry, Ludwig and
ETAP re-connected, first as the ETAP dealer for the
Mid-Atlantic and currently as the exclusive distributor for
North America,
Etap-USA. Ludwig has many miles in
various locations in the world on many boats, with the
longest trip so far the Transatlantic delivery of an
ETAP 37s in the spring of 2005. He holds the ASA 101
to 108 certifications (Ocean) and is a USCG licensed
Captain.
