The ETAPCharterLease Fractional Sailing
Program
The
ETAPCharterLease program is designed for sailors who want
to sail a boat as if they owned it but without the hassle
that comes with ownership. Our online Scheduler is designed to maximize
shareholders' access to a distinctive, safe boat and at
the same time ensure that any single member does not
monopolize it. The boat's time is divided into 2 "Slots"
per day, a 9 hour daytime slot, and a 15 hr
evening/overnite slot. Each member is credited with 28
slots at the start of the season to be used individually
or as a block of up to 12 slots for an extended sailing
adventure. Additionally, if a particular slot is not
booked by anyone within a specified time window, it can
be booked as a "Spontaneous" slot for free! If your
schedule changes after you have booked slots, you can
offer those slots up to other members via the scheduler
(subject to limitations). To insure that those days
during the season that are extra special to you are
yours, you pick 4 "Owned" days when you sign up. All
maintenance is taken care of by ETAPCharterLease - after
a sail you just fuel and water the boat, wash it down,
check out with the onboard computer and go home!
Our fractional sailing program also accomodates those of
you who want to own a boat but would like to reduce the
financial and time commitment that entails. During the
season, you have the same hassle free easy access to the
