ETAPCharterLease LLC and Etap-USA are actively looking to put more ETAP sailboats in the CharterLease program. So, why, if the shareholder formula is so interesting, would anybody want to own a boat ? The answer is simple - the shareholder fee that you pay over the years is like rent. It is gone. The owner of a managed ETAP will have the same beautiful memories as the shareholders after 5 years of sailing the East Coast, but unlike the shareholder, he still owns a boat.

How does it work ?

ETAPCharterlease LLC will work with you to order the ETAP that fits in the program and will assist you in selecting the options, after market customizations, commissioning etc. We can also help you arrange the financing for the boat, as boat financing is a specialized matter. ETAPCharterlease LLC will subsequently charter the boat from you so that you have an income to offset your mortgage costs, based on the parameters of the program.

You will share the use of your boat with 7 shareholders under similar conditions, meaning you can sail the boat for 14 days, spread over 28 timeslots. ETAPCharterlease LLC will take care of the running expenses of the boat, such as dockage, insurance, and scheduled maintenance. After paying the down payment, you are pretty much set for the next 5 years in terms of expenses.

Once the 5 years are over, you can sell your boat, keep it and go cruising or trade it towards your next ETAPCharterlease Yacht. We will assist you in selling your ETAP as we feel that we know ETAP. And because our goal is happy ETAP sailors, we will make sure your ETAP is in excellent condition !
