Each ETAPCharterLease yacht is equipped with a
Raymarine instrument package which includes the ST 60
series of wind, depth and speed instruments. Our yachts
also have a Raymarine S2 autopilot with an ST6001 control
head. This system also includes a MacMini computer running
the premier Macintosh navigation software
MacENC. Displays are fitted at both
the Nav station and in the cockpit. Position is
provided by 2 GPS receivers, 1 primary and 1 backup.
Augmenting this package is a NASA AIS receiver
outputting data to the computer for plotting the position,
course and speed of any ships in your vicinity directly on
the chart. The GPS is continuously outputting positional
data to a DSC equipped VHF radio. Access to the Web is
possible via the Mac's Wi-Fi system anytime the boat is
within range of a Verizon cel tower. The computer provides
you with the means to surf the Web, download current Marine
Weather forecasts, send and receive email and if you wish,
watch your favorite DVD! The check in/out process is also
handled by the Mac so you spend more time sailing and less
time with "paperwork". During your familiarization session,
you will receive instruction on how to use all these tools
so as to insure that your sailing experience is as safe and
hassle-free as it can possibly be.
